Most very often, we hear that the backbone of every economy is the SMEs sector. But rather mind boggling to hear of their cries of lack of funding or appropriate financing.

The case that Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) make important contributions to economic and social development in Africa and in Rwanda in particular, has specific interest to this gathering. Indeed, the majority of employees in Africa, as in Rwanda, can be found within family businesses - generally termed here as SMEs. These are the major engine for economic growth achieved through employment and wealth creation and poverty reduction.
Despite the SME sector’s significant contribution to economic development, however, it continues to experience diverse problems that hinder its growth and development. The sector needs more support to overcome problems and to be able to contribute even more towards economic growth and development. In the majority of cases, major impediments to the realisation of SME’s potential are limited to the innovative capacity in entrepreneurial and business management skills, access to finance and advisory services, regulatory red tape (and in many cases incomprehensible and complex), lack of a coherent national strategy, expensive infrastructure, lack of access to finance and information and limited access to major trading firms and business networks.

Financial growth is necessary for every country. SME is good to know. Nice information.

To increase the financial growth of a country the corruption should be reduced. It is the main reason why a country don't get developed in its economy.

Legal frame work, bank lending, export should be started for SME.

In many countries still SME plays a vital role in the growth of its economy.
