The B.Sc. programme in Agribusiness Management is designed to produce graduates who are academically knowledgeable and skilled, professionally competent, confident and innovative at the middle-management level of agricultural value-chain enterprises. The components of the Agribusiness Management programme include basically selected courses in Agricultural Science, Managerial Economics and Business Administration that will provide the elements and concepts applicable in the handling of problems related to and decision making in Agribusiness. Students contact with the computer as well as proficiency in English and French are integral parts of the programme because of the relevance of these subjects in modern business\/industrial competitiveness. This programme is affiliated to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and it is run at the Okwahu Campus.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Entry Requirement <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) Applicants<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Candidates with the\u00a0Senior High School Certificate<\/strong>\u00a0must in addition to credit (A1 – C6) in the three core subjects (English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science), obtain Credits in Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics, Biology or General Agriculture and Social Studies, Business, General Arts with Economics. The minimum requirement should be an aggregate score of 36 or better in the WASSCE.<\/p>\n Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) Applicants<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Candidates with the\u00a0Senior High School Certificate<\/strong>\u00a0must in addition to credit (A \u2013 D) in the three core subjects (English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science), obtain Credits in Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics, Biology or General Agriculture and Social Studies, Business, General Arts with Economics. The minimum requirement should be an aggregate score of 24 or better in the SSSCE.<\/p>\n General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 5 Credits (including English Language, Mathematics, an Arts subject and a Science subject) in the WAEC General Certificate of Education (GCE\/WASC) Ordinary Level Examination; and 3 passes at the Advanced Level of the GCE. One of the Advanced Level passes should be a grade D or better. A pass in General Paper must also be obtained.<\/p>\n \u00a0GBCE\/ABCE Applicants<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n GCE<\/strong>\u00a0candidates must have five credits at the Ordinary Level examination or equivalent including English Language, Mathematics and either (i) Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science or (ii) General Science, Additional General Science, and any other subject (e.g. Economics, Geography, and Introduction to Business Methods etc). In addition, candidates should obtain three passes at the GCE Advanced Level or equivalent in either: (i) Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics, and Biology\/Agricultural Science or (ii) Economics, Mathematics, and Business Management\/Geography.<\/p>\n Mature Applicants<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Mature Applicants must have attained the age of 25 years and above and must have Credit in English and Mathematics at the GCE O\u2019Level\/SSSCE\/WASSCE\/GBCE.
