{"id":5890,"date":"2017-04-26T08:31:57","date_gmt":"2017-04-26T08:31:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.presbyuniversity.edu.gh\/site\/?page_id=5890"},"modified":"2024-03-29T14:00:50","modified_gmt":"2024-03-29T14:00:50","slug":"job-vacancy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.presbyuniversity.edu.gh\/site\/job-vacancy\/","title":{"rendered":"Job Vacancy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Presbyterian University, Ghana invites applications for appointment to positions in the Registry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>REGISTRY<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>POSITION: <strong>PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop and implement strategic public relations and marketing programmes that support the overall objectives of the University.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop content, target audiences and utilises technology to communicate with those audiences and stakeholders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage and promote the Presbyterian University Brand.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write and produce most official publications including newsletter, quarterly and annual reports.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as the official liaison with the general public, community and organisation and manage the organisation\u2019s websites.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage Media and media relations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/Requirements:<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must have a minimum of 1<sup>st<\/sup> degree qualification in Public Relations\/Marketing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must have progressive experience in PR, Marketing, fundraising, events promotion, or journalism practice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Membership of the Institute of Public Relations\/ Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana and experience in a University setting will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must have great communication (written and verbal) skills, great interpersonal skills, and be customer focused.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>POSITION: <strong>PROCUREMENT OFFICER<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Negotiate contracts, terms, and deadlines with vendors and suppliers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that there is a continuous, effective and efficient procurement process of goods and services for the company.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that a competitive balance of cost, delivery timescale and quality is negotiated for all purchases<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure purchase orders (PO) and purchasing contracts are issued in accordance with Presbyterian University Ghana\u2019s procurement policy, procedures, and processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain a proper filling and monthly tracking system of the status of all the POs and contracts issued and provide updates to the supervising authority<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in the preparation of monthly reports (including commitments and cost analysis) as well as Internal Control requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications\/Requirements:<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A minimum of Bachelor\u2019s degree in Procurement and\/ or Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement and\/or related fields<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working knowledge of the industry and market conditions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Membership of a professional body will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mode of application:<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested candidates should submit Cover Letters and updated Curriculum Vitae with the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Names and addresses of three referees;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications can be sent electronically to hr@presbyuniversity.edu.gh or hard copies sent to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>THE REGISTRAR,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PRESBYTERIAN UNIVERSITY, GHANA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>P.O BOX 59<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ABETIFI-KWAHU<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CLOSING DATE: <\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>Thursday 18<sup>th<\/sup> April, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Presbyterian University, Ghana invites applications for appointment to positions in the Registry.
