The Chairman of the Governing Council of the Presbyterian University, Ghana (PUG), His Lordship Professor Emmanuel Nii Ashie Kotey has appealed to the government of Ghana, especially through the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), to support private universities in their quest to provide quality education and world-class facilities for their students.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Ashie Kotey made this appeal at the 18th graduation ceremony of the PUG, held recently at the Ramseyer Training Center, Abeifi-Kwahu. He continued that with GETFund\u2019s support, private universities and for that matter PUG can expand their infrastructure \u2013 laboratories, libraries, and research centers \u2013 to foster a better learning environment and promote high-level research output. His Lordship further pleaded with the prominent people of Kwahu, both in Ghana and in the diaspora, to support the mission of the University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


He noted that their support, whether through scholarships, infrastructure, or community engagement programmes, is vital to the continuous success of the University.
He urged the people of Kwahu to join in building a stronger and more impactful institution that will remain at the forefront of tertiary education in Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He mentioned the construction of additional hostels and facilities, particularly on the Asante-Akyem campus, and the provision of vehicles essential for the smooth running of University operations as areas that need immediate support. The Council Chair however expressed profound gratitude to the Presbyterian Church of Ghana for its unwavering support for the University. He recounted how over the years, the Church has been steady in its commitment to the growth and progress of the institution.

Moreover, he express appreciation for the spiritual guidance, moral support, and material contributions from the PCG, which he described as indispensable to the success of the University. On the upcoming general elections on December 7, 2024, His Lordship Professor Ashie Kotey entreated Ghanaians to maintain peace and unity before, during and after the elections while encouraging all eligible graduates and citizens to participate in this democratic process responsibly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
