Presbyterian University, Ghana (PUG) formally inducted its newest cohort of students into the academic community through a series of matriculation ceremonies for the 2025\/2026 Academic year, held across its campuses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremonies commenced at the Okwahu Campus on 5th March 2026, followed by the Asante Akyem Campus on 7th March. A joint ceremony for the Akuapem and Tema Campuses was held on 14th March at Akuapem, and the series concluded at the Kumasi Campus on 10th<\/sup> April, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n

In total, 2,058 students were matriculated across all five campuses. The students enrolled into the University\u2019s diverse schools and faculties, including Business, Science and Technology, Medical Sciences, Nursing and Midwifery, Development Studies, Education, and Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This reflects the University\u2019s continued growth and its commitment to training professionals across critical sectors of national development.<\/p>\n\n\n

Delivering an address on behalf of the University, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John Ofosu-Anim, described matriculation as a symbolic rite of passage, signaling the official entry of students into the academic life of the University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He emphasized that the ceremony signifies not only admission into the institution but also a pledge to intellectual growth, ethical conduct, and service to society. <\/p>\n\n\n

The Vice-Chancellor urged the matriculants to pursue excellence, cultivate critical thinking, and position themselves as solution-oriented individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He highlighted the importance of peer relationships and collaborative learning, stressing that experiences beyond the classroom are vital in shaping character, broadening perspectives, and fostering lifelong connections. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof Ofosu-Anim further reaffirmed PUG\u2019s reputation as a nurturing ground for intellectual inquiry and leadership development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He encouraged the students to make full use of the University\u2019s academic resources and to seek mentorship from faculty members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also reminded them of the University\u2019s core values \u2013 Excellence, Commitment, Integrity, Discipline, and Faith in God \u2013 and urged them to uphold these principles throughout their academic journey. <\/p>\n\n\n

Students were also advised to engage actively in extracurricular activities and build networks that will enhance both personal and professional growth. While acknowledging that challenges are inevitable, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized resilience and determination as essential qualities for success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
