The Presbyterian University College-Ghana (PUCG) has qualified for the semi-finals of the Inter-Private Universities debate after edging out their counterparts from the University College of Agriculture and Environmental Studies (UCAES) with an outstanding performance when it hosted the contest at the Okwahu-campus of the University.<\/p>\n
The mental fortitude and prowess of debaters from PUCG was at its peak when they made intellectual escapades speaking against the motion \u201cAfrica\u2019s division are as a result of its diversity in culture\u201d. Onokwai Chukwudi and Charlene Arday both level 400 students represented the university. They were supported by Naa Dei Kotei Sass and Leticia Chima.<\/p>\n
The event was put together by TP CONSULT under the auspices of the Private Universities Students\u2019 Association (PUSAG).<\/p>\n
PUCG forms part of the Northern belt which includes, All Nations University College, Spiritan University College, Catholic University College, Pan African University College, Christian Service University College and Ghana Baptist University College. The eventual winners of this zone will battle it out with the winners from the southern belt in the grand finale.<\/p>\n
Also on the day, All Nations University College came up tops when they locked horns with Spiritan University College, speaking against the motion \u201cTertiary education in the 21st<\/sup> century is reserved for the rich\u201d. Ghana Baptist University College and Christian Service University College both secured automatic qualification to the semi-finals since their contemporaries from Catholic University and Pan African University failed to show up.<\/p>\n PUCG will take on All Nations University in the semi-finals whiles Christian Service University will also square up against Ghana Baptist University on Saturday March 7, 2015.
