The Akuapen Campus of the Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG) has hosted an Alumni meeting aimed at fashioning out strategies to make the National Alumni Association vibrant and responsive to the needs of the University.<\/span><\/p>\n

The participants discussed ways of improving the existing relationship between the University and her Alumni as a platform upon which the Association can leverage support for the University in fulfillment of her development agenda.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Akuapem meeting held on 17th<\/sup> October, 2015, was a follow up to an earlier one held on Saturday 19th<\/sup> September, 2015 at Abetifi Kwahu, at the instance of the President of PUCG, Rev. Prof. EmmanuelAdow Obeng.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Vice President of PUC, Prof. Frank Arku, who chaired the meeting charged the Alumni to build a strong and functional Association to support the University in achieving its vision.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Vice President, the University will soon start Masters programmes in Education and Development Studies and encouraged the old students to take advantage and pursue their Masters programme at the University.<\/span><\/p>\n

He expressed the University\u2019s willingness to assist her old students whenever contacts are made for support.<\/span><\/p>\n

Professor Frank Arku implored the Alumni to help PUCG improve upon its enrolment and visibility by sharing the success story of the University wherever they are.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Dean of Faculty of Development Studies, Dr. Edward Wiafe reiterated the need for the Alumni to reacquaint themselves with the University\u2019s community and entreated members to build ties towards supporting themselves in their various endeavors.<\/span><\/p>\n

Takyi Theophilus, the President of the Executive Committee of the General Assembly of the SRC, assured the Management of the University and the Alumni that the student body will work hard through community focus activities to make the University a preferred choice for higher education.<\/span><\/p>\n

The old students who attended the meeting pledged to work hard to support the various development programmes and projects of the University.<\/span><\/p>\n

In attendance were Ms. Nana Ama Twumasi and Mr. Richard Amfo Otu, the Heads of Department for Development Studies and Environmental Natural Resource Management respectively, as well as some administrative and academic staff of the Akuapem Campus.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
