The Management of the Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG) has held a Consultative Meeting to review the Strategic Plan of the University in line with the new vision of the College.<\/span><\/p>\n

On his appointment as the President of PUCG in December 2014, Rev Professor Emmanuel Adow Obeng outlined the following as thematic areas that the University will focus on.<\/span><\/p>\n

The reviewed vision to drive the University seeks to enhance PUCG visibility, growth and expansion of programme, strengthen research and create graduate school and develop distant education, and expand funding base of the University.<\/span><\/p>\n

Others are to deepen the spiritual heritage of the university, attract and retain high caliber of academic and administrative staff, and provide adequate infrastructure and logistical support.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sequel to this the Management held a two-day consultative meeting from October 22 to 23, 2015, aimed at reviewing the 2014 Strategic Plan of the University and develop a new one to drive the new vision for the next 10 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his opening address, the President posited that the consultative meeting is critical as it offers the opportunity to discuss and critique the University\u2019s Strategic Plan to fit into the College\u2019s mission to train students to be innovative and entrepreneurial to enhance socio- economic development.<\/span><\/p>\n

To this direction, the University will develop courses which relate to the social, cultural, economic, scientific, technical and other problems which exist in Ghana or elsewhere in Africa.<\/span><\/p>\n

Constituting a committee to implement and monitor the strategic plan is crucial to its success.<\/span><\/p>\n

The eighteen (18) participants included the President, Vice President, Registrar, Deputy Registrar, Director of Finance, Public Relations Officer who doubles as the Acting Chaplain of the University, some Deans and HoDs, and some key staff of the University.<\/span><\/p>\n
