The Nursing Department at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences of the Presbyterian University College, Ghana, Asante Akyem Agogo Campus, has won the 2015 edition of the National Quiz Competition organized by the University Nursing Students Association Ghana (UNSAG).<\/span><\/p>\n

The quiz competition held at the 6th<\/sup> Annual Congress of UNSAG at Central University was on the topic \u201cReducing the Incidence of Buruli Ulcer Endemic in Ghana, The Student Nurse as a Stakeholder\u201d. This feat adds to the successes chalked by the University since its establishment in 2003.<\/span><\/p>\n

The competition aimed at bringing all member association schools together and also increase the awareness of Buruli Ulcer in our communities, institutions and the country as a whole.<\/span><\/p>\n

The participating schools for the competition were grouped into Northern and Southern sectors \u2013 The Northern comprised the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Garden City University College (GCUC), University of Development Studies (UDS), Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG) and Christian Service University College (CSUC).<\/span><\/p>\n

The Southern Sector was constituted by the University of Ghana (UG), Valley View University (VVU), Central University College (CUC), University of Cape Coast (UCC) and St Karol School of Nursing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Presbyterian University College Ghana beat Kwame Nkrumah University Science and Technology and Christian Service University College to qualify for the grand finale held at Central University.<\/span><\/p>\n

The schools which qualified for the Grand Finale of the UNSAG Competition were the Presbyterian University College, Ghana, Christian Service University College, University of Ghana, University of Cape Coast, St. Karol, and University of Development Studies.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of the enthralling competition, Presbyterian University College, Ghana emerged winners with the University of Cape Coast and University of Ghana as runners up.<\/span><\/p>\n

The decibels of the PUCG Anthem that increased as it was sung could only affirm the excitement of the winning College and the unity among the members of the Association at the Congress.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anim Boadu Philip, Oteng Frank and Adjapong Stephen were the students who represented and made the PUCG proud.<\/span><\/p>\n
