{"id":4188,"date":"2016-06-03T15:31:54","date_gmt":"2016-06-03T15:31:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.presbyuniversity.edu.gh\/main\/?p=4188"},"modified":"2016-06-03T15:31:54","modified_gmt":"2016-06-03T15:31:54","slug":"presbyterian-university-student-wins-top-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.presbyuniversity.edu.gh\/site\/presbyterian-university-student-wins-top-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Presbyterian University Student Wins Top Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ms. Akpobome Enohor Sandra, a student of the Department of Nursing of the Faculty of Health and Medical Science, Asante Akyem Campus of the Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG) has been adjudged the Overall Best Candidate in the 2015 Registered General Nursing (RGM) Licensure Examination (Written) by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ms. Akpobome Enohor Sandra, an International Student from Nigeria was decorated with the Dr. Mary Opare Award which is the highest award of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana to the Overall Best Candidate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The award was presented at the Induction Ceremony for 2015 newly qualified Nurses and Midwives held at Midwifery and Health Assistants Training School at Asante Mompong on 1<sup>st<\/sup> June, 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The sterling performance of Ms. Akpobome Enohor Sandra saw her obtain Distinctions in six (6) Courses of the 2015 Licensure Examination namely: Medicine and Medical Nursing, Mental Health\/Psychiatric Nursing, Obstetric Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Public Health Nursing, as well as Surgery and Surgical Nursing.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4187 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.presbyuniversity.edu.gh\/main\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Best-Candidate.png?resize=624%2C416\" alt=\"Best Candidate\" width=\"624\" height=\"416\" \/><\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>Some International students from the Nursing Department with the Award<\/em><\/span><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Head of the Department of Nursing, Dr. Samuel Owusu Akyem and the Dean of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Dr. Kofi Asare congratulated Ms. Akpobome Enohor Sandra for her outstanding achievement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">They expressed the hope that this achievement will encourage her to achieve even greater success in the pursuit post graduate education.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Congratulating Ms. Akpobome Enohor Sandra for her excellent performance on behalf of the PUCG Management, the President, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng charged other students to emulate the achievement to keep PUCG in polar position as one of the best Universities in Ghana.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It was recalled that the Nursing Department of Presbyterian University College, Ghana had obtained 100 percent pass rate in the 2016 February Licensure Examination by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana.
