The NUPS-G Choir of Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG) hosted the Abetifi Presbyterian College of Education Mass Choir and the Abetifi Technical School Choir in a Peace Choral Concert that lightened up the Abetifi community with scintillating songs.<\/p>\n

The PUCG NUPS-G Choir organized the Peace Choral Concert to re-emphasize the need for Peace and Unity as the country goes into the general elections on December 7, 2016.<\/p>\n

The various choirs responded well to the invitation with classy performances which met the crowd\u2019s expectations as they also responded with cheers and energetic dances.<\/p>\n

The President of PUCG and his wife Rev. Prof. and Mrs. Adow Obeng, the Vice President, Prof Frank Arku, other Management members and staff of the University were not left out of the choral party as they joined the many people who had thronged the venue to dance to the fabulous tunes.<\/p>\n

Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng in appreciating the gathering, performances from the choirs and the PUCG drama troop said the atmosphere of unity and peace created through the concert must resonate with all of us, our families and friends to ensure that events leading to the elections are peaceful.<\/p>\n

He made a passionate appeal to the general public to be agents of peace and work assiduously towards peaceful elections.<\/p>\n

The Director of National Commission for Civic Education, Ms. Abigail Nkansah appealed to the gathering to vote on issues and not for reason of receiving gifts from candidates.<\/p>\n

She opined that when one votes for a reason other than competence and the development orientation of a candidate,the very core of the country\u2019s democratic principles is defeated and the country is also bereft of quality leaders.<\/p>\n

She therefore implored the general public to put Ghana first when voting and vote wisely as we all work towards peaceful 2016 general elections.<\/p>\n
