The Barclays Bank through its flagship scholarship programme, Tertiary Education Scholarship, under the Barclays Shared Growth Agenda has awarded scholarship to eleven (11) students from Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG).<\/p>\n
The scholarship which is worth about GH\u023b110,000.00 caters for the students\u2019 tuition fees, hostel and academic user facility fees, lap top and feeding allowance for the 2017\/2018 Academic Year.<\/p>\n
The beneficiaries were selected by the Scholarship Committee of PUCG chaired by the Vice President, Prof. Frank S. Arku, in collaboration with the Barclays Shared Growth Agenda through the following criteria: a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 3.0, must be a level 200 to 400 student, and parents\u2019 household income should be below GH\u023b14,842.00 per annum.<\/p>\n
The President of PUCG, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng expressed his gratitude to Barclays Bank for reaching out to the students of the University.<\/p>\n
Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng noted that the scholarship will go a long way to enjoin the students to work harder so that they can continue to be on the scholarship for the subsequent years. He reiterated that more of such facilities are needed to support many students who are in similar situations such as the awardees.<\/p>\n
Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng believes that for Barclays Bank to select PUCG as a partner for this Tertiary Education Scholarship underscores the University\u2019s integrity in higher education and hard-work.<\/p>\n
The awardees were drawn from various fields of study with special attention to the Sciences, Business Studies, Social Sciences and Engineering programmes.<\/p>\n
The beneficiaries are Amo-Aboagye Kwaku (ICT), Asare Kenneth (ICT), Gyimah Isaac Newman (ICT), Sefah William Wiafe (ICT), Yin Clement (Mathematics), Nazah Kwame (Mathematics), Asantewaa Angelina (Business Administration), Acheampong Mavis Awukubea (Agribusiness), Asante Bernard (Physician Assistantship), Bampoe Godwin (Nursing) and Ampadu Mavis Ofosua (Environmental and Natural Resources Management).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
