Addressing\nthe gathering, Hon. Bryan Acheampong said he is committed to providing support\nto education in the constituency including offering 1000 students scholarship\nto pursue undergraduate programmes at the Presbyterian University College,\nGhana. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hon.\nBryan Acheampong who is also the C.E.O. of BAF explained that he was inspired\nto set up the Foundation to provide community support services especially in\neducation so that people have the opportunity to access quality education. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nMember of Parliament praised the Presbyterian discipline and implored the\nbeneficiaries to imbibe those set of Presbyterian values to help them impact\nmeaningfully the lives of their students and pupils. He also admonished them to\nstay in the constituency after their study to help improve the standards of\neducation in the Kwahu area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The\nPresident of PUCG, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng on his part commended highly\nHon Bryan Acheampong and his Foundation saying the \u201cMP has invested well in\nthese scholarships and the returns will be great for the community and the\ncountry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rev.\nProf. Emmanuel Adow Obeng was happy that the Presbyterian Church of Ghana\u2019s\n(PCG) aim for setting up the University in semi urban areas to propel\nsocio-economic development in these areas so as to lift the standards of living\nof the people has been boosted by the Bryan Acheampong Foundation\u2019s\nintervention which is in agreement with this vision of PCG. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The\nPresident of PUCG disclosed that it is also important to note that the MEd.\nEducational Studies is specially designed to build in students the ability to\ncritique, reflect and analyze educational issues, provide in depth knowledge in\ncurriculum and pedagogical issues relating to their subject areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n He\nmentioned that the students conduct and write research paper which is weighted\nsix credit hours. According to Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng, the research\nequips them with skills to incorporate research into preparation of teaching\nnotes for classes and keep them abreast of best practices in the education\nsystem in the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Rev.\nProf. Adow Obeng commended the Bryan Acheampong Foundation and the Kwahu East\nDistrict Education Directorate for transparent processes of selecting the\nbeneficiaries which he describes as \u201cfair\u201d and without political \u201ccolorations\u201d.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n He\nimplored the beneficiaries to stay in the constituency after their education\nand help improve the standards of education in the Kwahu area as a reciprocal\ngesture to the Foundation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The\n70 beneficiaries are teachers within the Kwahu East Education Directorate who\nhave taught for continuous 10 years or more in the District. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"![\"\"](\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.presbyuniversity.edu.gh\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Rev.-Prof.-Emmanuel-Adow-Obeng.jpg?resize=640%2C426&ssl=1\")
