<\/figure>\n\n\n\nThe President\ndisclosed that the oath binds the students to observe\nthe rules and regulations of the University, to obey the President and other\nOfficials of the University, to apply themselves diligently to their studies,\nto seek knowledge and truth, and to promote the general good of the University.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also, \u201cthe oath binds the University and the Management\nto seek the welfare of the students during the duration of their studies,\u201d the\nPresident said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Matriculation\nCeremony officially enrolled 342 students into the School of Graduate Studies\ncomprising 199 males and 143 females for the 2019 intake onto Med. Educational\nStudies, M.A. International Development Studies, MSc. Natural Resources\nManagement and MSc. Environmental Health and Sanitation programmes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Assurance\nto students<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng noted that an\narea that delays the graduation of Masters\u2019 students is the writing of\ndissertation. \u201cTherefore, your promptness in completing your dissertation will\nensure timely completion of your programme,\u201d he implored the students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The President\nwas worried that in a number of Ghanaian Universities, postgraduate students\nare not able to finish their graduate studies on time, due to one frustration\nor the other, and assured the students that \u201cPUCG will not entertain this on\nany of our programmes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe will provide\nall the needed assistance to students to ensure that you complete your\ndissertation on time. So prepare yourself to be pushed beyond the limit,\u201d he\nintimated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Examination\nMalpractice <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Rev. Prof.\nEmmanuel Adow Obeng said \u201cFrom my 38 years experience working at the University\nand 22 years of these at the top management of University, I have noticed that\nexamination malpractice does not know a child or an adult.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n He noted that \u201cExamination\nmalpractice rears its head from time to time with students perfecting the act\nof sneaking foreign materials into the examination room.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n He believes that\n\u201cwith your maturity and the responsible positions you hold, I know that we can\nsafely leave you without supervision during examinations and you will be\ntruthful.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The President said it is \u201cOur dream to conduct\nexaminations in this University without the use of invigilators. We believe\nthis is very possible,\u201d he reiterated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Appreciation\n<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The President of PUCG extended a special gratitude\nto the Bryan Acheampong Foundation for the support of scholarships to 70 of the\nMEd Students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He appealed to other philanthropists to emulate the\ninitiative by the Member of Parliament of Abetifi Constituency and come to the\naid of other needy students pursuing various programmes at the University. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The School of Graduate Studies of Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG) has held Matriculation Ceremony for fresh students admitted into four graduate programmes run at the University.
