The\nInformation Technology (ICT) Unit of the Presbyterian University College, Ghana\n(PUCG) has organised a two-month free Information Technology (IT) training for the\n2019 Senior High School (SHS) graduates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nIT training, run at the Okwahu Campus (Abetifi Kwahu) of the University registered\n113 participants from about 40 different SHS across the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nparticipants were exposed to topics in Introduction to Information Technology,\nWord Processing, Database using MS. Access, Presentation Skills, Living Online\n(Using the Internet), and Introduction to Website Design. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nIT training was organized for the SHS graduates in fulfillment of the\nUniversity\u2019s quest to support the development of human resource in the local\ncommunities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Again,\nthe free IT training was aimed at engaging the graduates while they awaited\ntheir results so that they could upgrade their IT skills for the various\nopportunities available, which includes employment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\nRegistrar of PUCG, Mary Abena Agyepong (Mrs) who addressed the trainees said\nICT drives the world\u2019s economy now. Therefore adequate knowledge in ICT is\nimportant for any student or individual who wants to make impact with his\ncreativity and innovative abilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She\nencouraged them to consciously give themselves to study while they go through\nthe two-month training. She also implored them to observe, listen, ask questions,\nnetwork and enjoy their stay in the University. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The IT training is being spearheaded by the IT Unit of the Presbyterian University College, Ghana with Mr. David Adamah as Head of the Unit and Mr. Samuel Nyarko as technical staff.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
