The\nManagement of Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG) had a meeting with\nthe Asante Presbytery Council of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) to\ndiscuss the state and growth of the University. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nmeeting forms part of the University\u2019s schedule to meet and interact with all\nthe Presbyteries of PCG hosting any of the five campuses of the University. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nfirst in the series was held in December, 2019 with the District Ministers of\nPCG serving in the Kwahu Presbytery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nPresident of PUCG, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng briefed the Church leaders on\nthe state of PUCG as the 11th<\/sup> best University and 3rd<\/sup>\nbest private University in Ghana according to the 2019 Webometrics World\nRanking of Universities. He also spoke about the Kumasi campus, scholarship\nfacility for Presbyterian students, and infrastructure needs among others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rev.\nProf. Emmanuel Adow Obeng implored the church leaders to advocate for the\nUniversity in order to shore up enrollment, and for the University to continue\nto get support from its major stakeholders \u2013 the PCG and the Government of\nGhana through the GETFund. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nChurch leaders espoused the excellent work the University is offering in the\narea of tuition and the moral grooming of students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nChairperson of the Asante Presbytery, Rev. Benson Osafo Kantanka thanked the\nUniversity Management for the interaction and promised that the Presbytery will\nconsider the issues raised by the President of PUCG seriously so that the Presbytery\nbecomes a strategic partner to the University. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nChairperson also admonished the Ministers and leaders of the Church to become\nadvocates of the University wherever they are to ensure that the University\nbecomes an asset to the Church and the country as a whole. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nPresident was accompanied by the Registrar, the Assistant Registrars for\nAcademic and Students Affairs, Institutional Advancement Section, the Faculty\nOfficer for Faculty of Law, and the Senior Public Relations Assistant.   <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
