Mr. Ernest Owusu Mensah won the Ashanti Regional Best Nurse Award for the year 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He joined Presbyterian University College, Ghana in 2013 to pursue BSc. Nursing; and graduated in 2017 with Second Class Honours (Upper Division). Having graduated from the University, Mr Owusu Mensah was posted to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi for his National Service. He served for a year and later worked for a very brief period of five months at the Legacy Hospital, Asokore Mampong as a nursing officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his goal to attain greater heights, Ernie, as he is fondly referred to by his peers, joined the Janie Speaks AME Zion Hospital as a nursing officer and a charge nurse for the Emergency Ward. He is also the Clinical Meeting Coordinator and Preceptor at the Emergency Ward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is a staunch Christian, born to Rev. John Owusu Manu and Mrs. Helena Owusu Manu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aside his passion for the nursing profession, Mr Owusu Mensah is an ardent lover of gospel music. He was the music director for the Vessels of Honour and Kingdom Praise Choir while on Campus. He sings and plays the bass guitar and also loves to read, research and play soccer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ernest aspires to be a renowned specialized nurse in cardiology, orthopedics or emergency in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He sees this award as an inspiration to work harder in his chosen career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ms. Keziah Boadu-Nwangwu, a nursing officer working at the Department of Emergency and Recovery unit of the St. Joseph Hospital in Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana, was also adjudged the Best Nurse\/Midwife for the New Juaben North District by the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives\u2019 Association for the year 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ms. Boadu-Nwangwu offered BSc. Nursing at the Presbyterian University College, Ghana from the year 2011 and graduated in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Keziah is a registered general nurse, and has been working for the past three years as NURS\/MID Audit representative at the hospital on the rank of Nursing Officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Inspired by the award in her young career, Keziah said she would continue to be an advocate for her patients. She was happy that her hard work, commitment and sacrifices to improve the health of her patients have been recognised by her professional body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Keziah Boadu-Nwangwu is a committed Christian. She was born to Ms. Constance Boadu and Mr. Sebastian Okochukwu Nwangwu (late). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
