An Alumnus of the Presbyterian University, Ghana (PUG), ASP Princeton Peasah Darkwa emerged as the overall best Cadet Officer in the Ghana Police Service Cadet Officers Course 51 for the year 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ASP Princeton Peasah Darkwa was adjudged the best Cadet Officer in academics and all the other disciplines which included legal, operational, investigative and practical policing duties. His award, the SWORD OF HONOUR was presented to him by the Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among previous winners of this prestigious award includes the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr Akuffo Dampare, Commissioner of Police Maame Yaa Tiwaa and Former IGPs Patrick Acheampong and Mohammed Ahmed Alhassan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to ASP Princeton Peasah Darkwa, he is inspired by this award to remain disciplined, committed to the police profession, and constantly upgrade his knowledge and skill of the profession as he seeks to occupy the top echelon of the service.   <\/p>\n\n\n

The Course 51 training, which commenced in April, 2022 at the Police Academy in Accra brought together 308 cadet officers from different backgrounds such as Lawyers, Medical Doctors, Chartered Accountants and seasoned police officers with varied experience in policing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training offers the 308 officers the opportunity to enter the senior command rank of the Ghana Police Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ASP Princeton Peasah Darkwa was recommended by the then Ashanti Regional Police Commander, DCOP Kwasi Mensah Duku for promotion and entry into the Police Academy to become a Senior Officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Regional Police Commander made the recommendation after he presented a special award to ASP Peasah Darkwa in 2019 for his hard work in training school children and offering public education through radio stations on cyber security, kidnapping, terrorism and general security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the Regional Police Commander\u2019s recommendation was being attended to, ASP Peasah Darkwa wrote the Police Academy entrance examination and passed paving way for his admission into the academy.<\/p>\n\n\n

ASP Peasah Darkwa said he developed much interest in technology and cyber security when he pursued Information and Communication Technology at PUG and noted that the disciplined atmosphere created at the University helped him to be focused, committed and hardworking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ASP Princeton Peasah Darkwa entered Presbyterian University, Ghana in the year 2008 to pursue BSc in ICT at the Okwahu Campus. He deferred his programme in 2010 to take up United Nations Peacekeeping assignment in Darfur, Sudan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He returned from the Peacekeeping engagement in the year 2013 and decided to continue with his BSc ICT programme which he successfully completed in 2017. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ASP Princeton Peasah Darkwa, born to Mark Kwabena Peasah and Margaret Amponsah who are natives of Akyem Abompe said he was proud of his achievement which has engraved his name in the records of the Police Academy as one of the recipients of the prestigious SWORD OF HONOUR.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
