The President of Presbyterian University, Ghana (PUG), Prof Ebenezer Oduro Owusu has cautioned freshers admitted into the University for the 2022\/2023 Academic Year against any form of examination malpractice, warning that full sanctions as stipulated in the student\u2019s handbook and the University\u2019s statutes would be applied to the latter.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reiterating the University\u2019s commitment to instilling the virtues of discipline and truthfulness in its students, the President said examination malpractice by students undermines the integrity of internal course assessment and examinations, and certification, hence would not be tolerated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof Oduro Owusu said the University is working towards organising \u201cinvigilation free examinations\u201d noting that such a disposition would be a mark of success in the University\u2019s quest to instil discipline and truthfulness in its students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The President made the statement at the 20th<\/sup> Matriculation ceremony of PUG. The matriculation was held in three sessions at Akuapem, Okwahu and Asante Akyem Campuses on 23rd<\/sup>, 24th<\/sup> and 25th<\/sup> February, 2023, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Presbyterian University, Ghana admitted 915 applicants for the 2022\/2023 academic year comprising 331 males and 584 females representing a ratio of 1:1.8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The President of PUG bemoaned the state of indiscipline in the Ghanaian social fabric saying that the PUG will engage its stakeholders in the quest to churn out graduates who uphold high values and are capable to making a difference wherever they find themselves in reversing this social canker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof Oduro Owusu expressed gratitude to guardians, parents and families for allowing the children to choose PUG for their tertiary education assuring that \u201cthe University will not only impart knowledge to your wards but instil the critical values of truth, honesty, discipline and faith in God.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
