The Presbyterian University, Ghana has promulgated new Statutes for the University to reflect its new fully chartered status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The University\u2019s Governing Council presided over the promulgation in a special meeting held on 9th<\/sup> November, 2023 at the Church House, the Head Office of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The University Chancellor, Rt. Rev. Prof. J. O. Y. Mante, who is also the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana chaired the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Justice Emmanuel Nii Ashie Kotey, JSC, the Chairperson of the Governing Council of the University, commended the Chancellor for guiding the process of reviewing the old statutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe University is grateful for your experiences in the governance of higher institutions, which have influenced the PUG Statutes\u201d, he said, pledging the commitment of the University to abide by the contents of the Statutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The President\/Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. John Ofosu-Anim, emphasized that the promulgation of the Statutes had occurred at an opportune time as the University is positioning itself to tackle its new realities as a fully-fledged University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 He further pledged to implement the Statutes as the Administrative, Academic, and Disciplinary Head, with the responsibility as the Chief promoter of Presbyterian ethos in the University Community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Presbyterian University, Ghana, was established in 2003 by the Presbyterian Church of Ghana as the founder and sole subscriber. It received a Presidential Charter to operate a fully-fledged University in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, the University operates five campuses in Abetifi-Kwahu, Asante Akyem Agogo, Tema, Kumasi, and Akropong Akuapem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, the University offers undergraduate and graduate programmes in Science and Technology, Law, Education, Development, Business, and Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
