On Sunday, May 19th, 2024, Presbyterian University, Ghana – Okwahu Campus, held a heartwarming and spiritually uplifting event that brought together students, staff, and University leadership. The day was marked by a commendation and thanksgiving service, a handing over and induction ceremony for the new SRC and Christian Fellowship executives, and a moment of reflection and encouragement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rev. Michael Amoah delivered a sermon on the theme \u201cJesus Christ, the Alpha and the Omega \u2013 Making Him Known among the Nations.\u201d In his message, Rev. Amoah inspired all students and staff members present to deepen their relationship with God and to be instruments of change through their daily lives. His words resonated deeply with the audience, encouraging everyone to live a life that reflects God’s love and grace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The service was particularly significant for the Level 400 students, who gathered to sing songs of gratitude. They thanked God for His protection and guidance as they navigated their journey through various levels of their academic program. The atmosphere was filled with heartfelt emotions as the students reflected on their achievements and the divine help that had seen them through to this milestone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the thanksgiving service, the handing over and induction ceremony for the Students Representative Council, Presbyterian University Campus Christian Fellowship, and the Chaplaincy Committee took place. This ceremony was led by the University Chaplain Rev. Dr. Frank Adu and Acting Registrar Mr. John Adarkwah. The event marked a transition of leadership, with outgoing executives passing the baton to the new leaders who will steer the course for the coming year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor Frank S. Arku, addressed the gathering on behalf of the Vice Chancellor. In his address, Professor Arku commended the outgoing SRC executives for their dedication and their efforts in fostering collaboration with the University Management. He noted that their commitment had yielded positive results and urged the new SRC executives to continue this legacy of active engagement and collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Arku also took the opportunity to acknowledge and commend the Chaplain and other staff members for their unwavering dedication to Chaplaincy activities. He encouraged them to remain actively involved, emphasizing the importance of their contributions to the spiritual life of the University Community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A special commendation was given to Mr. Seth Addo, a staff member of the Presbyterian University Ghana Chaplaincy Centre, who recently graduated with an M.Ed in Educational Studies. Professor Arku highlighted Mr. Addo’s journey as a testament to the power of perseverance and grace, inspiring all present to continue striving toward their dreams with faith and determination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
