A MERITORIOUS AWARD TO PRESBYTERIAN UNIVERSITY COLLEGE, GHANA

awardPUCG has received another Meritorious Award for her outstanding contribution to quality education and the socio-economic development of the Country.

The award, which was given by Micjoy Advertising (MJA), a communication consult, was in recognition of PUCG’s unique role of running Environmental and Natural Resources Management, Community Development, Nursing, Physician Assistant (PA) programmes, which make the University distinct from other private Universities, hence ‘THE MOST INNOVATIVE UNIVERSITY IN GHANA AWARD.’

The citation accompanying the Award indicated that having been in existence for the past 10 years, the PUCG has apart from her initial Campus at Abetifi in the Kwahu area, opened other campuses at Akuapem (Akropong), Asante Akyem (Agogo), Tema and Kumasi at Santasi. The citation goes on further to state that the PUCG is motivated to supporting education not only in the urban centres, but more importantly in the semi-rural communities as well.

The Awards ceremony, which took place in Kumasi on the 30th July, 2014, was received by the Vice President of the University, Prof. Frank Sena Arku, The Registrar, Mr Kwadwo Amo Osei, and the PRO, Rev. Joseph Kofi Antwi.

In attendance were the Deputy Minister of Education, Hon. Alex Kyeremeh, and Nana Owusu Banahene, Otumfour Nkosuohene.
