PUCG Presidential Walk Takes Off

The much anticipated Presidential Walk which was instituted by the President of the PUCG, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng for the University Community took off on 2nd May, 2016 at Obomeng Kwahu.

The exercise which comes on every last Saturday of every month is being organized to promote healthy lifestyle among staff and students; promote a high sense of camaraderie, unity and sense of belongingness among members of the University community.

The Presidential Walk dubbed “Walk for Life” started around 7 a.m. at Obomeng Kwahu after the participants comprising staff and students from Okwahu Campus had gathered there from Abetifi Kwahu. The walkers moved from Obomeng to Obo Kwahu and back to Obomeng to end the day’s exercise.

The walkers were treated with hot “Jama” throughout the exercise by a section of the participants, creating an ecstatic atmosphere for the exercise.

At Obo Kwahu, Nana Yeboah Afrai Obuagyan II was full of praise for the exercise and assured the University that he would join the next “Walk for Life” exercise when notified.

The participants were taken through some aerobics before they walked back to Obomeng Kwahu to end the successful maiden Presidential Walk.

The President, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng thanked the staff and students who participated in the walk and implored them to maintain the enthusiasm for the next walk schedule so that the objectives of the exercise would be achieved.

Among the participants were, the President, Vice President, Dean of Students, Dean of School of Business and Economics, the SRC President and Vice President as well as some Assistant Registrars.
