Department of Physician Assistantship Receive Medical Items

Dr. Edward K. Kwakyi, the Dean of Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG), has donated medical items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to the Department of Physician Assistantship.

In presenting the items to the Department, Dr. Kwakyi disclosed that the items donated were acquired in his forty-five (45) years of practice as a medical doctor and hope that their use will tremendously improve teaching and learning at the Faculty.

The President of PUCG, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng, receiving the items on behalf of the University, thanked Dr. Edward Kwakyi for the medical items noting that he could have donated the items to any other organization over the 45 years that he acquired the equipment.

Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng implored the Department of Physician Assistantship to take good care of the equipment while putting them into maximum use.

The President appealed to the students to keep watch over each other to ensure that the items are always in good condition if the students are to benefit maximally from availability of the equipment.

The medical items which were donated at the Faculty of Health and Medical Science, Asante Akyem Campus of the University included equipment used in the surgical wards.
