Presbyterian University, Ghana to Introduce New Postgraduate Programmes

At the 7th Special Congregation Ceremony of the School of Graduate Studies and Research, the Chancellor of the Presbyterian University, Ghana (PUG) Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare-Kwakye who doubles as the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), announced a major expansion of the University’s graduate programmes.


In his welcome address at the ceremony held at the Ramseyer Training Center, Abetifi, on Thursday, April 24, 2025, the Chancellor shared news about newly introduced and upcoming academic offerings aimed at equipping students with relevant skills to address critical national development needs.


Rt. Rev. Dr. Opare-Kwakye revealed that plans were well underway to launch several graduate programmes which would include MBA in Human Resource Development, MSc in Marketing Strategy, MSc in Organisational Leadership and Management, MSc in Emergency and Disaster Management, MSc in Strategic Management and Corporate Strategy, MSc in Project Planning and Management, MSc in Cyber Security, and MA in Guidance and Counselling.


He noted that these additions were not only strategic but responsive to the evolving demands of Ghana’s economy and society.


He stated that “the Presbyterian University, Ghana, is not only celebrating academic milestones but also boldly stepping into a new era of graduate education and national relevance”.


The Chancellor added that “the Presbyterian University, Ghana has demonstrated an intentional and strategic vision to deepen its impact through advanced studies”. He was particularly pleased with the introduction of the PhD in Environment and Development, and the MSc in ICT Management which were rolled out last year.
