PUG Organizes a 4-day Staff Retreat

The Presbyterian University, Ghana held a four-day retreat themed “Break the Routine: Step Out, Stand Out, Shape Tomorrow”. The event brought together staff from all five campuses of the University for renewal, learning, and team building.

The program which took place from Thursday, September 11 to Sunday, September 14, 2025 at the Okwahu Campus provided an opportunity for staff to step away from their daily schedules and reflect on new ways of improving service delivery, teamwork, and personal well-being.

Key presentations were delivered on relevant topics such as student satisfaction in contemporary tertiary educational environment, mental health, retirement and stress management, dealing with conflict at the workplace and emotional intelligence.

Alongside insightful talks, staff participated in interactive games, evaluation sessions, and open interactions with the University Management, fostering stronger colleague bonds and enhanced communication with leadership.

The retreat culminated in a Devine Communion Service, where staff renewed their commitment to their roles and the University’s mission. Intercessory prayers were offered for the nation, the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, and the University.

Participants found the retreat as refreshing and impactful, providing a space to “break the routine,” reignite motivation, and return to their campuses better equipped to serve students and the institution.
