Rev. Dr. Seth Kissi

Rev. Dr. Seth Kissi is the Chairperson of Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana for the period September 2018 to August 2023. He was commissioned into the ministry of the Presbyterian Church in 2001 and ordained in 2003.

He has also served in a number of congregations and on National Committees including the Committee on Ministry, Training, Scholarship, Counseling and Doctrine; Committee on Specialised Ministry; and Committee on Christian Education. Until his assumption of the Chairmanship of the Presbytery, he was a Senior Lecture in New Testament at the Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon where he taught for more than ten (10) years, and where he still teaches in an adjunct position.

He holds PhD from the University of Pretoria, South Africa and MTh from Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon, Ghana. He has a number of publications including the following books: The Gifts and Spirituality: Understanding the Subject in the Context of 1 Corinthians, Wisdom, Knowledge, and Spirituality in Self-defense: A Rhetorical Exegetical Study of 1 Corinthians 1 – 6, and co-author of Essentials of Biblical Greek Morphology with an Introductory Syntax.

Rev. Dr. Seth Kissi serves on the Governing Boards of the following Schools: St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Senior High Technical School, Asiakwa; Presbyterian Senior High School, Begoro; and Presbyterian Senior High School, Osino.

He is married to Mrs. Mavis Kissi with whom he has two boys and two girls.
