The Presbyterian University, Ghana has obtained accreditation to run Master of Science (MSc.) in Nursing programme. The programme offers the following:
Aim of the Programme
The aim of the programme is to develop a cadre of disciplined nurse graduates equipped with the knowledge, competencies, and leadership skills required for research, teaching and improving health outcomes in the global society.
Entry Requirements into the M.Sc. Nursing Programme
Applicant must:
- Have obtained a good first degree (at least a Second-Class Lower Division) in Nursing or Midwifery from a recognised university.
- Be duly registered as a professional nurse or midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) of Ghana or the relevant regulatory body in their home country (for international applicants).
- Have at least two years of post-qualification clinical or teaching experience in nursing or midwifery.
- Submit a statement of purpose (not more than 500 words) outlining the applicant’s interest in the programme, research interests, and career goals.
- Provide two academic and/or professional references, one of which must be from a current or recent employer or academic supervisor.
- Pass a competitive selection interview conducted by the Department.
- For international applicants, demonstrate proficiency in English, either through prior education in English (submission of letter of English proficiency) or standardized English language test results (example IELTS, TOEFL), where applicable.
