The Asante-Akyem Campus, Agogo of Presbyterian University, Ghana held a solemn handing-over ceremony for the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) and the Asante-Akyem Campus Chaplaincy Committee, as well as a commendation service for final-year students, on 17th May 2026.
The programme marked a formal transition of leadership from the outgoing student executives of both the SRC and the Campus Chaplaincy Committee to the newly inducted office bearers. It also served as a moment of recognition and thanksgiving for the final-year students in appreciation of their academic journey and contributions to campus life.

The newly elected SRC President of the Asante-Akyem Campus Mr. Daniel Antwi Boahene thanked God, the outgoing SRC executives, students, and all stakeholders for their support and contributions throughout the election process. He also commended the Electoral Commission for organizing a credible, transparent, and peaceful election.
In his address, he called for unity among students and pledged to lead transparent, and student-centered administration focused on improving academic support, strengthening communication between students and management, and promoting student welfare and leadership development. He assured the student body of fairness, honesty, and openness to feedback in the discharge of his duties, while encouraging everyone to work together for the progress of the university.
The Asante Akyem Campus Chaplaincy Committee comprising representatives from various denominational and interdenominational Christian fellowships, including GHAMSU, PENSA, and NUPS-G also reaffirmed its commitment to fostering unity, spiritual development, and collaborative ministry within the Asante Akyem campus community.

The Assistant Chaplain of the Asante-Akyem Campus, Rev. Mordecai Gorleku, formally inducted the new executives into office. He further led prayers for both outgoing and incoming leadership, committing them to divine guidance, wisdom, and effective service.
In attendance were the Dean of the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Dr. Frank Agyei Bediako; the Dean of Students, Mr. Gabriel Ofosu Agyapong; alongside other heads of departments, leaders of various church groups, and representatives of the Students’ Association. They collectively extended the hand of fellowship to the new executives as a demonstration of institutional support and shared responsibility.

The ceremony ended on a reflective and uplifting note, with a renewed commitment to strengthening faith-based leadership, student engagement, and holistic development within Presbyterian University, Ghana, Asante-Akyem Campus.
