On Sunday, May 26, 2024, the Students Representative Council (SRC) of the Asante Akyem Campus of the Presbyterian University, Ghana, organized a Handing-Over Ceremony for newly elected representatives of the 18th SRC Administration.
At the event, other student bodies- Asante Akyem Campus Chaplaincy (AACC), Physician Assistantship Students’ Association of Ghana (PASAG), and Presbyterian University Ghana Association of Nursing and Midwifery Students (PUGANMS) also handed over leadership.
The Acting Dean of Students’ Affairs, Mr. Gabriel Ofosu Agyapong commended the outgoing SRC leaders for their dedication and commitment to student welfare and urged the incoming administration to build upon the strong foundation laid by their predecessors.
Mr. Godfred K.B. Gyeabour who received the mantel from Mr. Michael Nyamekye was full of gratitude for the opportunity to serve the student body and pledged to continue the legacy of his predecessors.
The ceremony was attended by notable officials, including Rev. Eric Teye Kau the Asante Akyem Campus Chaplain, the Dean of Students’ Affairs, and other Faculty Members at Asante Akyem, Special guests included Hon. Richard Osei Owusu – General Manager, Asadu Group of Companies, Mr. Agripah Opoku – NUGS Presidential Aspirant, Enoch Frimpong Kwabena – NUGS International Relations Secretary Aspirant, and Ms. Bridget Agyeiwaa Sarpong – SRC President, Agogo Presbyterian Women College of Education.
