The dazzling performances by the various Choirs climaxed the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the PUCG NUPS-G Choir’s annual concert dubbed ‘Hallelufesto’ at the Okwahu Campus of the University.

The 10th Hallelufesto Concert under the theme “I will give thanks to God (Psalms 18:49)” lasted for about three and half hours featured the Atibie Midwifery Choir, Divine Generation, PUCG Alumni Choir and the host PUCG NUPS-G Choir.

The Hallelufesto Concert was inspired by Mr. Frank Peasah who was the music director of the PUCG NUPS-G Choir with unwavering support from the then PUCG NUPS-G President Mr. Emmanuel Appiah.

Ever since, the NUPS-G Choir has held the Hallelufesto Concert annually with some prominent visiting choirs, among them are Pop Choir from KNUST, NUPS-G Choir from KNUST, Calvary Presby. Choir from Koforidua, PUCG NUPS-G Alumni Choir and the Divine Generation Choir from PUCG among others.

The Hallelufesto Concert was instituted with the aim of bringing the University community together to give thanks to God. Also, to use the opportunity to reach out to children admitted in some children’s ward in some selected health facilities across the country.

The 10th Hallelufesto Anniversary was held to praise God for the success of the concert over the years and also express gratitude to individuals, groups and the University community for their support to ensure that the Hallelufesto remains integral part of the University’s life.

Among the dignitaries who graced the 10th Hallelufesto concert were the President of PUCG, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng, the Registrar of PUCG – Mrs. Mary Abena Agyepong, the University Chaplain – Rev. Dr. E. Y. Blasu, the Director of RTC – Rev. Gideon Puplampu, Rev. Mrs Afia Ban, and Rev.
