Presbyterian University Dedicates and Hands Over New Vehicle to School of Nursing and Midwifery

The Management of Presbyterian University, Ghana has taken another significant step towards enhancing the operations of the School of Nursing and Midwifery with the official dedication and handing over of a new vehicle at the University’s Main Campus, Abetifi, on Tuesday, 7 July 2026.

The ceremony, though brief, marked another milestone in the University’s efforts to strengthen logistical support for its academic units and enhance the delivery of quality education and healthcare training.

The vehicle was dedicated to God’s service by Rev. Emmanuel Misiame the University’s Chaplain, who offered prayers for divine guidance, protection, and safe journeys for all who will use it in the discharge of their official duties.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John Ofosu-Anim, reaffirmed Management’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for teaching, learning, research, and community engagement. He noted that the provision of the vehicle forms part of the University’s strategic investment in the School of Nursing and Midwifery to support its expanding academic, clinical, and outreach activities.

As part of the ceremony, Prof. Ofosu-Anim officially presented the vehicle keys and relevant documents to Dr. Frank Agyei Bediako, Dean of the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Receiving the vehicle on behalf of the School, Dr. Bediako expressed profound appreciation to the University Management for the timely support. He assured Management that the vehicle would be used responsibly to enhance the School’s academic, clinical and outreach activities.

Delivering the vote of thanks, Dr. Doreen Abeasi, Head of Department of Nursing and Midwifery, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the University Management for its unwavering support and strategic investment in the growth of the School. She noted that the vehicle would significantly improve the School’s operations and contribute to the effective delivery of its mandate.

Kingsley Kumi-Yeboah, Senior Assistant Registrar, General Administration; Mrs. Mercy Mantey, Junior Assistant Registrar, Chaplaincy Office; Mr. Emmanuel Addo, Transport Officer; and Mr. Daniel Marfo, Driver, Asante Akyem Campus.
