General Assembly Council Pays Courtesy Call on PUCG Management

A twelve-member delegation from the General Assembly Council of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), led by Rev. Dr. Anokye Nkwasah, paid a courtesy call on the Management of Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG) to interact with them.

Rev. Dr. Anokye Nkwasah, the Chairperson of the Asante Akyem Presbytery of P.C.G. said the visit was to inform the University of the 19th General Assembly, inviting the University to the General Assembly, and commend the University Management and staff for their hard work.

The leader of the delegation commended the University for its ranking as the 11th best University out of over 150 universities in Ghana and 3rd best Private University in Ghana, in the latest report published by the Webometrics World Ranking of Universities.

On behalf of the General Assembly Council, he promised an improved support to the University by the Church in the subsequent years and implored the University to continue to work hard in order to achieve the objectives by which the PCG set up the University.

The President of the PUCG, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng thanked the PCG for its support over the years and said the institution is looking forward to greater assistance from the Church so that it will achieve greater heights.

The President thanked the GAC for the visit and assured the delegation that the University will honour the invitation to the General Assembly which started from 16th August to 22nd August, 2019.
