On Sunday, 17th May 2026, the Akuapem Campus community gathered for a special Family, Commendation, Handing-Over, and Thanksgiving Service officiated by the Assistant University Chaplain, Rev. Dr. Christina Amarchey, with support from Rev. Kingsley K. Gyekye, District Minister, Akuapem- Akropong. The service marked an important moment of leadership transition for both the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) and student leaders serving within the Campus Chaplaincy structure.

Students, student leaders, and members of the University community participated in the service in a spirit of gratitude, unity, and reflection as the 2025/2026 academic year drew to a close.

A key highlight of the service was the official handing-over by the outgoing SRC President, Akuapem Campus Insp. Bless Kwabla Gbadago, to the newly elected SRC President, Sgt. David Ampem Darko, alongside the SRC Vice President, Ms. Emmanuella Amoakoa Antwi.

The newly inducted Chaplaincy student executive team is led by Student Chaplain Emmanuella Antwi, with Collins Aklamanu serving as Deputy Student Chaplain. The committee, made up of representatives and members of the National Union of Presbyterian Students, Ghana (NUPS-G), used the occasion to reaffirm its commitment to fostering unity, spiritual development, and collaborative ministry within the University.
