Presbyterian University College, Ghana Signs MoU with IGREEN Engineering and Construction Company Ltd.

The Presbyterian University College, Ghana (PUCG) has taken a major step in providing ultra-modern hostel accommodation for its students at the Asante Akyem Campus by signing an MoU with IGREEN Engineering and Construction Company Limited.

IGREEN Engineering and Construction Company Limited with a proven track record in the construction of modern hostels for tertiary institutions is to construct a 1000 to 1200 bed capacity of hostel facility for the Asante Akyem Campus of the University.

The Campus currently has about 55 percent of students in PUCG. The Campus hosts the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences running BSc. Nursing and BSc. Physician Assistantship.

The PUCG is in line adding to its current programmes at the Asante Akyem Campus Master of Public Health and BSc. Midwifery which are going through accreditation, and Doctor of Optometry programme which is going affiliation.

The construction of the hostel facility is in line with the University’s policy of providing its students with world-class accommodation in its quest to deliver a conducive environment for learning.

Mr. Charles Kissi, the Chief Executive Officer for IGREEN Engineering and Construction Company Limited said, it is a privilege to be part of PUCG’s success story by providing such an important service to “one of the leading private universities in the country.”

According to him, the project which will operate on Built Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis will be fully resident student hostel that would have sleeping suit units and ancillary facilities of modern standards.

The President of Presbyterian University College, Ghana, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng thanked IGREEN for partnering the University to improve its infrastructure. He said the University will do everything within its power to ensure that the project is delivered and on time.
